Contact the Salmisson editorial team

Use this page to reach the people who write and maintain Salmisson. Corrections, questions about navigation coverage, and suggestions for routes or apps we should review are all welcome.

Specific messages get handled faster than general ones. If you are reporting a route that no longer works, tell us where it is and what changed. That one line about the location usually saves a full round of replies.

What to send us

The most useful messages are corrections and updates. Road networks change, app features change, and a reader who drives a route daily often spots something a public source does not. If a page describes a junction or a system in a way that no longer matches reality, tell us.

Questions about navigation coverage are welcome too. If you are unsure which tool suits a particular trip, describe the route and we will point you at the relevant page or, if we have not covered it, consider writing about it.

Most useful first

Corrections and accuracy reports

For a correction, include three things: the page you were reading, what it says now, and what you believe is correct. A location or a location code helps if the issue is about a specific place. That is usually enough for us to check and fix.

If the issue is about an official system such as Seniar, Makani, Darb, or Smart Drive, tell us which one. These systems are maintained by their own bodies, and precision about which one you mean saves a round of back and forth.

Not sure which system you were looking at? The official UAE navigation systems page lists each one and who runs it.

A good correction reads like this

  • Which page you were reading, using the title as it appears on the site.
  • What the page says at the moment, quoted or summarised.
  • What you believe is correct, plus where you drove it or saw it.

Not a correction? Still send it

Coverage questions, app quirks, and route tips all land in the same inbox. Nothing needs a particular format.

Corrections and accuracy reports

A report is easiest to act on when it names the place. Junction numbers, interchange names, mall or building entrances, and the direction you were travelling all help. So does the time of day, since a turn that works at 7am can be closed or restricted at 6pm.

We check claims against public sources and against what readers report. When sources disagree, we say so on the page rather than picking the tidier answer.

What belongs in the message

The location

Road name, interchange, or the nearest landmark. If it is an official location plate, the code printed on it.

The change

What the page says today and what you saw on the ground. A short description is enough.

The system, if relevant

Seniar, Makani, Darb, and Smart Drive are run by different bodies, so naming one avoids a back and forth.

When you saw it

Date and roughly what time. Access rules shift between the morning rush and the evening, and it changes what we write.

If you would rather not use the form, email info@salmisson.com with the same details. A phone call is fine for short clarifications during working hours.

Route and app suggestions

We are interested in routes that drivers actually use, especially ones where existing guidance is weak. Cross-emirate commutes, unfamiliar interchanges, and destinations with confusing entrances are all good candidates for coverage.

For app suggestions, tell us what the app does well on your route. Feature lists are easy to find; how a tool behaves on a specific corridor at a specific time of day is harder to learn and more useful to write about.

Already following a corridor we cover? The Abu Dhabi and Sharjah routes page is where most of those reports land.

Response times and what to expect

This is a small editorial operation, so replies are not instant. Corrections that affect accuracy are prioritized over general questions, and messages that include specifics are easier to act on.

  • Accuracy corrections on an existing page Read first and checked against sources before anything else in the inbox.
  • Route reports with a named location Usually quick to verify, since we can match the report to the page it affects.
  • Coverage questions about a specific trip Answered with a link to the relevant page where one exists, or added to the writing list.
  • General questions and site problems Read, but they wait behind anything that touches accuracy. Broken pages are acted on quickly.

We read everything that arrives through this page. If your message leads to a change, we may not always reply individually, but it does inform what gets updated and what we write next.

If something on the site is broken, such as a page that will not load or a link that goes nowhere, mention the page and what happened. Those reports are quick to act on and helpful to receive. For anything related to privacy or how the site handles data, the privacy policy explains the details. If your question is about a specific request regarding your information, say so clearly in your message.

Before you write

Check whether the relevant page already answers your question. The app comparison, the offline versus live routing guide, and the official systems page cover most of what readers ask about, and they are faster than waiting for a reply.

If the answer is not there, that itself is useful to know. A question we cannot answer from existing content is a signal that a page needs to be written or expanded.

Find the office

The team works from Sheikh Zayed Road. Corrections and coverage questions are usually handled by email, but you are welcome to call during working hours if a short conversation is easier than typing out a junction name.

Al Moosa Tower 2 sits on Sheikh Zayed Road with metro access nearby. If you are driving in, allow extra time around the Trade Centre interchange during the evening peak.

Salmisson is written for drivers moving around the Emirates. The pages are revised when readers tell us the road has changed, so a short note about a single turn is worth more here than a long general comment.
